I'm sure Fordham fans are pretty upset about the current state of the program. I'll bet he's pretty distraught.

The article was correct in one aspect- Fordham shouldn't be in the A-10 but should be in a smaller league, as should LaSalle, St. Bonny and probably Duquesne, although Duquesne is starting to show a little life. But I suspect Duquesne will start sucking again if Everhart ever leaves.

And my apologies to Richmond for failing to include them with above teams.

Agreed. Fordham should be in the Patriot league, NEC, MAAC, etc. along with St. Bonaventure and LaSalle.

I think that we could possibly see Fordham leave the A-10 in the next few years. I would think that it would be better for them if they could play in a winnable league.

Fordham has fans??? No seriously...this year at their place Tutu had a bigger posse than the entire Fordham contingent.

Geez, Thank Gawd that Fordham "is committed to the A-10". What would the league be without them?!

Uh, a helluva lot better. McLaughlin is an abject joke as an AD. I will never forgive him dissing Xavier in 2005 from the NIT. He was the head of that commitee at that time.

I might change my mind after hearing it pronounced properly but that name kind of rocks.

Jio Fontan was denied a release from Fordham U. during a meeting Tuesday
even after promising school officials that he would not attend any Big East schools in the area.

WOW. I get the impression that Fordham thinks there was enough tampering going on that they are going to stick it to Fontan.

But long term, this is going to be very bad. First, how does Fontan stick around on a team that he clearly doesn't want to play for? Second, it's a horrible sign to potential recruits that Fordham has it in them to block tranfers.

A third Fordham player, freshman forward Lamar Thomas of Littleton, Col., obtained his release yesterday, bringing to three the number of Rams who are leaving the program this year. Trey Blue is headed to Illinois State and Mike Moore to Hofstra.

Yet somehow the program won’t let freshman point guard Jio Fontan out?
How does that make any kind of sense?

Wow, talk about a program in disarray. And it's not like these guys are leaving Fordham to go to North Carolina. When 4 players are transfering, there are some major problems going on.
