Men's Golf Takes Inaugural Crosstown Shootout by 11.5-to-4.5 Score
Shootout Employed a Ryder Cup Format

CINCINNATI - The Xavier University men's golf team took home the championship hardware from the inaugural Crosstown Shootout as the Musketeers downed Cincinnati by an 11.5-to-4.5 count on Thursday afternoon at Maketewah Country Club in the Queen City.
The Shootout followed a Ryder Cup format with four 18-hole alternate shot matches in the morning and eight singles matches in the afternoon. Within those eight singles matches, the two sides also paired with a teammate and competed in four better ball matches.
Chris Burger shot the lowest score of the day with a 68 in the afternoon match. He paired with Peter O'Neill to shoot a better ball 63 as O'Neill posted a 72.
XU is back in action on April 24-26 to compete in the Atlantic 10 Championship in Orlando, Fla."
