after miller signed his previous contract extenstion.....
Miller says he's not going anywhere, that the nine-year contract extension he signed a season ago is more than lip service and that he has every intention of not only honoring his contract but establishing a cement-lined foothold in Xavier.
"The grass isn't always greener" he said. "I think commitment and continuity is very important. I know what people say it but I ignore it. That's very easy to do because I am committed to my players and to Xavier."
"I look forward to being that guy who can stay at a place like Xavier and take pride in not having a good season or a good run but can continue to develop the program into the future, year in and year out," Miller said. "That right now is more my focus than anything."
Let it go.
Just remember the next time you hear those type words that it doesn't mean sh!t.

Nice post! I knew he said something like that. Another good quote has been in my signature line since I became a XH member. It was recently adjusted.

you are absolutely right there. a college coach is no more than a politican. They both speak BS as long as it keeps them working. They will only tell us what we want to hear and not what we need to hear. The sad thing is as long as college coaches can piss on their contracts and walk away like they have been doing for years, nothing will ever change.

Bob is well practiced at it. Year in and year out, big Bob fought the county to lower the value of his riverfront properties when there were produce companies there. When the county decided they wanted to build a football stadium there, Bob straight faced argued that he had the most valuable real estate in the world.

Meh. I'm sentimental, a bit naive, and maybe a pollyanna, but I believe he meant it when he said it. I don't know if he got worn down by the 2nd straight year of mid-Major talk or if he has some big dream that needs more funding than X can offer, but I just can't believe he's been planning to leave for long.

OK, that is ridiculous. I never thought that would somehow actually be relevant to a conversation on this board. Impressive sir.
